February was quite a testing month with weather conditions, particularly in the first half of the month, drone surveys and drone inspections can be completed in most weather conditions including moderate wind speeds but rain is the one that catches us out. As we have national clients asking for drone surveys, particularly in Newcastle, Birmingham, Bristol and London, we managed to dodge the rain on most days to ensure there wasn’t a large backlog of drone inspection requests, meaning that our clients received the deliverables within their own SLAs.
DroneCam Solutions carried out data collections of aerial photography for several large projects that included two shopping centres in Newcastle and Sheffield, 16 retail parks covering an area from the Scottish borders to Kent and 23 drone roof inspections of industrial units, offices and retail units spanning from Newcastle to Plymouth.

Capturing aerial imagery by drone for use in dilapidation reports, Schedule of Condition reports and Planned Preventative Maintenance reports are the main requests from surveyors when using our drone services, this is due to several key factors that include limited or no roof access, restricted views or access when deploying cherry pickers or simply due to the size of the property. Utilising DroneCam Solutions to complete a drone survey or drone inspection, our clients know that we are able to cover all areas of the roof and high elevation walls and provide reliable, high resolution drone imagery with a fast turnaround time to allow maximum time for reviewing and assessing the data for it to be included within their reports.

February, whilst challenging due to weather, has been a busy month for both DroneCam Solutions which in-turn has provided our clients with strong results for their reports. If you are a surveyor, looking to collaborate with a CAA authorised drone operator to assist with streamlining your workflow, DroneCam Solutions have been established for nearly 10 years, specialising in the drone inspection and drone surveys for numerous national and regional building surveyors.
