DroneCam Solutions Ltd were appointed to provide monthly aerial images and video footage of a £13m re-development project of the Dogs Trust centre based at Sadberge, near Darlington, over a 14-month period.
After being contacted by the project manager, who had seen the drone footage that we provided throughout the construction of the Amazon Fulfilment Centre in Darlington, they were keen to have a similar quality of footage and imagery and tasked us to make this happen.
The re-homing centre was undergoing a complete renovation, with a new entrance point, extended office area, re-mapped dog walking trails and housing areas. The requested monthly aerial images and video were documenting all areas of the project, with particular attention paid to the main building which had been completely rebuilt.
As the site progressed, we provided ‘fly-through’ videos of the main building, this was to capture the internal fitting-out and which we then incorporated into the aerial video.
The drone imagery and drone videos were used by multiple teams on site throughout the course of the build, including the client, main contractor and the health and safety team to document the progress of the site.
The equipment we used for this project were the DJI Phantom 4 Pro Advanced and DJI Mavic 2 Pro as they have consistently provided high quality results in both video and photography and due to their built-in safety systems for both intelligent flight modes and obstacle avoidance.
We had a 100% safety track record on this site, thanks to our stringent RAMS and procedural process.
Below, you will see images which are from each of our visits to show the progress of the development, there is also a video link to the final video which included footage from throughout the build.
